Use your everyday life as a medium for English

Resorting to your day-to-day interactions is a useful method to find vocabulary, memorize and learn grammatical structures.
Take the words and phrases you normally use in your work or with family and friends, translate them into English and practice with yourself or if you can, practice with someone is even better. Pay special attention to how you pronounce, listen and write until the conversation becomes natural.
Each situation of your day can become an opportunity to practice and an excuse to ask yourself the meaning in English. For example, one of the daily situations that you could take advantage of is the moment you go to the supermarket. Do the mental exercise of asking yourself how you would say some foods in English like Crema de Dientes – Tooth Paste. Also, how would you ask “¿Dónde puedo encontrar los productos lácteos?” – Where can I find the dairy products? By doing this kind of exercises you not only get more out of the language but you can also visually relate the objects to the words.
With this, you will develop more skills and avoid teacher dependence. For example, at work, make a list of your habits, formulate frequent questions in English, translate technical words that you use daily and describe objects that surround you. It also improves your pronunciation considerably with translators like “Google Translate” which also has hearing aids. In a short time, you will be able to memorize grammar and reinforce your English, avoiding forgetting what you have learned in class.
Learn with a partner
One of the stages of the practice that is usually more complex is the oral part. This is due to the concern of a bad pronunciation, the fear of saying inconsistencies and other mental blocks that can hinder progress. There are English courses that reinforce the conversational development, but being controlled environments the interactions are a bit limited.
Having a partner outside of the classroom allows you to leave shyness behind and develop a more natural and fluid communication in the long term.
Start using simple phrases and simple vocabulary, if you do not know a specific word, look for synonyms or try to explain it in a different way, supporting yourself in body language and you will make a connection with what you want to express.

Think of it this way: When a child is told he can not leave because it is “cloudy” and he does not understand the word, the easiest way to explain it is not to give the dictionary definition of cloudy, it is to find another way of saying it “There are many clouds, therefore, it can rain” with this, the child will undoubtedly understand better.
Finally, remember that confidence and constant practice can lead you to learn English in less time. Although there is no a magic formula, discipline and practice will help make this learning process easier.
